Job Title: Production Worker - Material Handler / Wrapper

Summary
Quaker Windows is one of the fastest growing companies in mid-Missouri. This manufacturing production position works as aprt of the final product packaging and staging team for window and door products for residential and commercial buildings. There are current opportunities at each of our four manufacturing facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Packages materials and products.
  • Lines and pads crates and assembles cartons.
  • Wraps protective material around product and inserts product or fills containers.
  • Weighs containers, adjusts quantity and seals containers.
  • Records information, such as weight, time and date packaged.
  • May inspect products prior to packaging and return rejected products to production departments.
  • Contributes to building a positive team spirit.
  • Is consistently at work and on time.
  • Follows instructions, ability to work as part of a team, responds to direction, commits to extra hours of work when necessary to reach goals, completes tasks on time.
  • Monitors own work to ensure quality, and components are as ordered.
  • Meets productivity standards; completes work in timely manner; strives to increase productivity.
  • Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions ; uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required by manager. No supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform these operations using units of Standard measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Education and/or Experience
Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to climactic variations, to various levels of vibration, and occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
