Position Overview:

The Recruiting Generalist is responsible for recruitment and selection functions for the office/staff and plant operations as well as the oversight and administration of the Applicant Tracking System.

  • Manages full cycle recruiting process to meet the various staffing goals across all levels within the organization including selection, offer, negotiation, closing, and administrative components of recruiting for office/staff and plant recruiting
  • Partners with the leadership and management team to assess and identify personnel needs and workforce planning strategies
  • Clearly defines and obtains position requirements and gathers information regarding group environment, culture, etc., to ensure proper candidate suitability.
  • Creates and implements employment marketing strategies to attract active and passive job seekers
  • Develops a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need and continuously maintains a pipeline of candidates
  • Builds network to find qualified passive candidates; attends local professional meetings and membership development meetings; partners with area high schools and colleges
  • Maintains relationships and actively utilizes employment agencies, governmental agencies, and other sources to attract talent
  • Manages the development of ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies
  • Develops an effective pipeline of internal key talent potentially available for promotions/transfers as planning needs dictate
  • Determines and evaluates applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements on a consistent basis
  • Follows all employment laws consistently and appropriately
  • For office/staff positions, arranges management interviews for qualified candidates by coordinating schedules; escorting applicant to interviews;
  • Conducts background and reference checks for office/staff positions
  • Serves as main point of contact and administrator for the Applicant Tracking System
  • Edits and distributes weekly departmental reports to management
  • Assists in presenting at the New Employee Orientations
  • Develops and maintains trusting partnerships with hiring teams and business leaders
  • Identifies accountability best practices and appropriate reporting metrics for the business that support business goals and objectives
  • Achieves financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, and managing expenditures
  • As a member of the Human Resources Team, contributes to both departmental and organizational objectives
  • Manage special projects as assigned

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phone, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

Physical Demands:

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required along with the lifting of some light weight packages. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. These hours are subject to change based upon company needs.

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of related experience in Human Resources and Recruiting
  • 1+ years of plant environment experience
  • 2+ years in managing and developing staff
